Solidea Catherine Open-Toe Plus Thigh-Highs 25–32 mmHg

This garment is a special order and may take up to 3 weeks to ship.

The Solidea Catherine Open-Toe Plus Thigh-Highs combine firm medical graduated compression with a fit specifically designed for fuller or swollen lower limbs. The Plus version provides additional room through the leg and thigh for people whose measurements fall outside the standard Catherine size chart, while maintaining the same 25–32 mmHg graduated compression.

Designed for the management of venous and lymphatic conditions, Catherine Plus may be appropriate for people with lymphedema, lipedema, venous insufficiency, edema, varicose veins, and other conditions that can cause increased leg circumference when this level of compression has been recommended.

The open-toe design leaves the toes unrestricted and provides a cooler, more accommodating fit around the foot. A soft, silicone-free upper band makes Catherine an excellent alternative for people who cannot tolerate silicone stay-up bands. Because the upper band does not contain silicone, Catherine is designed to be secured with a garter belt.

What You’ll Feel

Firm graduated compression supports the leg from the ankle upward, helping provide containment for swelling while supporting venous and lymphatic return. The lightweight, smooth-knit fabric feels soft against the skin, while the Plus construction provides additional room through the leg and thigh without sacrificing therapeutic compression.

The open toe provides additional freedom and breathability around the toes and may also be helpful for people with sensitive toes, forefoot concerns, or hallux valgus.

Compression Level

25–32 mmHg graduated compression applies the greatest pressure at the ankle and gradually decreases up the leg. This firm level of compression is commonly used for more significant venous and lymphatic conditions, including edema, venous insufficiency, reversible lymphedema, and lipedema, when recommended by a qualified healthcare provider.

Fit Note

Catherine Plus uses a separate size chart from the standard Catherine. It is designed for people who need additional circumference through the leg and thigh, including those experiencing swelling associated with venous or lymphatic conditions. Do not select the Plus version based on your usual clothing size. Use your ankle and leg measurements and follow the Catherine Plus size chart carefully.

Catherine does not have a silicone stay-up band and will not remain securely in place on its own. It is designed to be worn with a garter belt. For medical conditions such as lymphedema, lipedema, or significant venous disease, consult a qualified healthcare provider when selecting the appropriate compression level.

Garment Care & Reordering

Caring for your garments

Always follow the care instructions on your garment’s label or packaging. Instructions may vary by fabric and garment.

Washing

Use a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics. Where machine washing is permitted by the care label, use a delicate cycle and a laundry bag. Follow the label’s washing-temperature limit.

Do not use bleach or fabric softener. For garments containing wool, follow their specific care instructions and use a suitable wool detergent.

Drying

Air dry away from direct sunlight, radiators, and other heat sources. Do not tumble dry unless the garment’s care label specifically permits it. Follow any instructions to dry flat.

Putting on your garment

Try on your garment with clean, dry skin. Rubber donning gloves can help protect the fabric and distribute it evenly. Remove jewelry that could snag the garment, and avoid pulling the fabric with your fingernails.

If you may need to return your garment

You may try on your garment for a reasonable period—up to a few hours indoors—to assess fit and comfort.

Washing is allowed, but use only fragrance-free detergent. Returned garments must be fragrance-free, and original tags must remain attached and unaltered, with no cutting or writing.

Please review our full Returns & Exchanges information before returning an item.

Replacing and reordering

Garment life varies with use and care. Check regularly for damage, loss of elasticity, or changes in fit. If you are unsure whether your garment needs replacing, contact us.

Recheck your measurements against the product’s current size chart before reordering.
